LOVS Mission

Loved Ones Victims Services (LOVS) is dedicated to meeting the emotional and physical needs of family members and friends who have lost loved ones, often times to violence. Our primary objective is to provide individual family and group counseling for adults, teens and children. In addition, we provide professional support services, educational resources, and information and material about other associated services. Lovs addresses the cycle of violence in Los Angeles County through intervention and prevention programs aimed at supporting the co-victims of violent crime. With the commitment of governmental agencies and private corporate sponsorship, our outreach programs continue to provide and expand the resources needed by our clients. 

LOVS Story

LOVS was founded in 1985 as a support group to help one another with the grief and trauma associated with homicide.  LOVS provides counseling, support, and experience in helping people who have suffered loss to find the strength to cope and move through the trauma.  

In recent years, LOVS has focused on addressing the cycle of violence in the Los Angeles area through intervention and prevention programs aimed at supporting the co-victims of violent crime. With the commitment of governmental agencies and private/corporate sponsorship, our outreach programs continue to provide and expand the specialty resources needed by our clients and the community.
