Loved Ones Victim Services
About Us

LOVS knows the devastation that loss brings. Since 1985, we have stood with families and individuals shattered by homicide, violent acts, sudden and unexpected losses, and various forms of trauma, offering the support, counseling, and resources needed to face the unimaginable.
If you are grieving, if you feel lost, if the weight of loss or trauma is too much to carry—LOVS is here. We provide individual, family, and group counseling for adults, teens, and children, as well as professional support services, education, and connections to critical resources.

When loss and trauma strike, the pain doesn’t end with the moment—it lingers in the lives of those left behind. The child who loses a parent. The sibling grieving a brother or sister. The families who wake up each day with someone missing. These moments of heartbreak often unfold in silence, leaving co-victims to carry their grief alone.
At LOVS, we are here to surround that silence with care, connection, and comfort. We know that trauma can leave deep emotional wounds, and the weight of grief can feel overwhelming. That’s why our mission is rooted in restoring hope and guiding individuals toward healing—no matter where they are on their journey.

What we hope for
LOVS envisions a world where every hurting soul finds solace, strength, and support. By Lifting, Offering, Voicing, and Serving, we create a compassionate community where healing is nurtured, resilience is built, and no one walks their journey alone.
Our services are made possible through the compassion of licensed professionals, peer counselors, advocates, and outreach specialists who give generously of their time and hearts.
Through grief support groups, individual therapy, grief coaching, and creative expression like art therapy, we provide safe and welcoming spaces for people to process their pain, tell their stories, and rediscover their strength.
